Each year level from Kindergarten to Year 7 has a specific dance programme for the term.
Kindergarten and Lower Primary students learn a series of dances including Paso Doble, Swing, Jive and party and progressive dances. Hip Hop routines have also been added to the junior program which challenges children beyond partner dances. Each lesson is designed so that students in this age group learn about rhythm and body movements, preparing them for the Dancefever programme in the later years. 30 minute lessons are recommended for this age group and class groups can be combined.
Middle and Senior Primary students learn two dance routines in Latin and Ballroom, including Jive, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Samba, Tango and Waltz. A big part of our programme also teaches students Funk and Hip Hop routines and a series of party and progressive dances. The two structured Latin and Ballroom dances taught during the term are then performed at the Dancefever Interschool Challenge. 45 minute lessons are recommended for this age group and class groups can be combined.
A detailed programme outline is available on request. Please contact Maria Russo on 0402146708 or mariarusso@dancefever.net to receive this information.
